Gary's Gallery

Gary Lecuyer captures the light, color, and atmosphere of nature with his short and quick brush strokes and his Impressionist style of oil painting. He believes in "direct contact" with nature, which is why you will find him painting in the middle of a deserted forest at 7 a.m. in January because "the light is right."

While much of his inspiration comes from his hometown in The Berkshires of Massachusetts, an area renown for its beauty, his travels have taken him around the world. He specializes in landscapes and some of his favorite places to paint include Joshua Tree, California, Martha's Vineyard, and France.
